Dell is the first computer manufacturer to ship systems with a 1 TB drive. And to think, my first computer had a measly 100 MB hard drive.

Guitar Hero II Rocks Xbox 360 Community April 3rd

Looks like the much anticipated Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360 has finally gotten its street date: April 3rd. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome jokes aside, I expect very sore arms by this time next month.

Halo 3 Release Date: September?

Both 1UP and IGN are saying that it appears Halo 3 will be released in September. This is several months earlier than the November release date assumed by most. Looks like I have to reschedule that vacation week now.

Six months after Google announced it would spend $1.65 billion to buy YouTube, many are wondering if the video-sharing site’s legal headaches outweigh its benefits.

It is no rumor Google had many “loose ends” tied up before they completed their purchase of YouTube, but they had to know the ballgame they were getting themselves into. Anytime you are facing multiple content owners with deep pockets, you run the risk of one of them taking their ball and going home.

Game review: NBA Street Homecourt

This brand of Cirque du Slam is commonplace in EA’s latest basketball game, and it might be the most hoops fun you’ll have on a console.Through all the craziness that is “NBA Street Homecourt,” Electronic Arts has created something of a paradox. Even though this game doesn’t resemble anything close to real hoops, it manages to capture something that many disenchanted NBA fans have been looking for – pure, unadulterated fun. Retailers Draw Line in the Sand for PSP

Some claim Sony’s PSP is a failed system. With UMD’s off many retail store shelves coupled with a lackluster library of games, the PSP is definitely faltering. Despite rumors of a PSP redesign, it seems some retailers are finally putting Sony on notice: drop the price of the unit or its coming off the store shelves. Given Sony’s stubbornness, it will be interesting to see how this one pans out.

Google Phone on the Horizon

CNET is reporting that head of Google in Spain and Portugal has confirmed that Google is working on a mobile phone of its own. While no timeline has been given, some details are beginning to emerge.

Earlier this month, Simeon Simeonov of Polaris Venture Partners wrote in his blog that an inside source told him the Google Phone will be a BlackBerry-like device running C++ at the core with an operating system bootstrap and optimized Java and that it would offer voice over Internet Protocol.

Juicy Black Xbox 360 Rumor

Joystiq heard from a friend’s, roommate’s, boyfriend’s, Uncle’s, sister’s favorite German gaming site that the much rumored black Xbox 360 is indeed on its way to store shelves. Quoting Joystiq quoting the German site,

The site claims a little bird told them the new system is coming this May, at a lower $299 price replacing the useless Core model in the process. Also included are a 120 GB hard drive and HDMI outputs.

There is no word from Microsoft on whether the new version of the 360 will break and display the red rings of death soon after purchase like many of the original launch consoles did. Lets hope they have that quality control thing figured out.
